Watermelon Nails

19.8.16

I had mentioned in a post that I would paint my nails with a watermelon design because I think it's one of best summer designs ever!

To find out more about this manicure, just keep reading!

Let's start!

For this manicure, I used a white nail polish, #501 by Christian Artesio for all my nails except for the ring finger which I painted with a holographic black glitter polish, #703 by Sixteen cosmetics. You can see the holographic effect only in the sun.

Tip: You can paint your nails with one coat of the glitter polish and then use a sponge, (place the glitter polish on the sponge) so it can absorb the clear nail polish. The sponge will have only glitter on it, so you can dab it onto the nail surface without using too many coats.

For the watermelon nail art, I used a red nail polish, #530 by Sixteen cosmetics. I placed two pieces of tape with an anlge of about 30 degrees, so I could make a triangle. Then, for the watermelon rind I used OPI's "This color's making waves" from the Hawaii Collection. It is a teal colored nail polish, looks like metallic, with gold shimmer. For the seeds I used black acrylic paint and a toothpick!
