#How to: Holographic Gel Nails

In this post I will show you how to apply gel nails and how to use this holographic powder step by step!
What you will need♥
~Tools for preparation (file, cuticle pusher and cutter, buffer)
~Primer (optional: only for oily nails)
~Nail prep
~Base Coat (Gel polish) ⇢ I used a base coat by CND Shellac
~Color Gel of your choice (Gel polish) ⇢ I used #Nude Knickers by CND Shellac
~No wipe Top Coat (Gel polish) ⇢ I used No wipe Top Coat by Nails Walk
~Top Coat (Gel polish) ⇢ I used UV LACK 4all by NBM
~Holographic Powder +eyeshadow sponge (which is applied like mirror powder) ⇢ I used Holo Manix by Indigo Lab
~UV/LED lamp
~Rubbing Alcohol (to remove the sticky layer later)
This holographic powder can be used over different base colors! So I am going to show you how it is applied over different colors: #80558 and #026 by Bluesky Gel polish.
Steps♥
1. Prepare your nails (file, push back the cuticles and buff the surface of your nails)
2. Paint your nails with a nail prep to make the gel last longer and protect your nails from any infection.
3. You can paint your nails with a primer to make the gel last longer
(best for oily nails, not for thin nails)
4. Apply one thin coat of your gel base coat (seal the edges) and place your hand into the lamp
(UV⇢2 min / LED⇢30-60 sec)
5. Apply one thin coat of the color you chose (seal the edges) and place your hand into the lamp
(UV⇢2 min / LED⇢30-60 sec)
(CND-Nude Knickers, Bluesky-80558, Bluesky-026)
6. If necessary, repeat step 5.
7. Apply a thin layer of your no wipe top coat and place your hand into the lamp
(UV⇢4 min / LED⇢60-120 sec)
8. Dip your eyeshadow sponge into the powder and rub it onto your nails.😍
9. Apply a thin layer of your top coat and place your hand into the lamp
(UV⇢4 min / LED⇢60-120 sec)
10. Wipe off the sticky layer with rubbing alcohol.
